AK Party Istanbul Provincial Chairman Abdullah Özdemir and his wife Nihal Özdemir presented President Erdoğan with a special plaque prepared to celebrate Father's Day. The plaque, prepared by the AK Party Istanbul Youth Branch, included the messages: "Thank God Erdoğan exists," "Father, please dedicate one night to us," and "Today, millions of young people are thanking you for those nights."
The phrase "Dad, spare one night for us," included in the painting, refers to a memory shared by President Erdoğan regarding his wife, Emine Erdoğan, and their children. In an interview, Erdoğan, while describing periods when his intense political work prevented him from spending enough time with his children, mentioned that his daughter, Esra Erdoğan Albayrak, had left a note on his door saying, "Dad, spare one night for us."
During the emotional gathering, President Erdoğan chatted with the young people and posed for a commemorative photograph.
AK Party Youth Branches General President Yusuf İbiş and AK Party Istanbul Youth Branches President Nevzat Yüce also attended the meeting.
