With the new system, the maximum discount rates that can be applied to different viewer groups have been redefined.

According to the regulation, the upper limit for discounts offered on student tickets, public day campaigns, promotions for specific age groups, and certain professional groups will be 40 percent. For disabled individuals, veterans, relatives of martyrs, and during morning sessions, the discount rate can reach up to 50 percent.

The 70% discount that has attracted public attention will not apply to all moviegoers. This rate will only be applicable to "special film tickets" created under exclusive agreements between producers and institutions. This will pave the way for even higher discounts in bulk sales and special campaigns.

Additionally, tickets purchased online may receive an extra discount of up to 10% on top of existing promotions. The aim of the regulation was explained as both protecting the revenue balance of movie theaters and enabling different audience groups to access cultural events at more affordable prices.

Industry representatives believe the new system will make the discount system more transparent and could positively contribute to the number of moviegoers.
