According to the latest assessments, temperatures will rise above seasonal norms in the western, southern, and southeastern regions, while thunderstorms and heavy rain will affect the eastern parts. According to forecasts, the heatwave will intensify, particularly in the Aegean, Mediterranean, and Southeastern Anatolia regions. Temperatures are expected to approach 40 degrees Celsius in Şanlıurfa, while thermometers are predicted to reach 39 degrees Celsius in and around Diyarbakır and Batman. In İzmir, the temperature is estimated to reach 37 degrees Celsius. Conversely, thunderstorms and heavy rain are expected in large parts of Eastern Anatolia and the eastern sections of Central Anatolia. There is a risk of locally heavy rainfall in Adana, Hatay, Osmaniye and surrounding areas, as well as in many eastern provinces, including Erzincan, Erzurum, Kars, and Van. Authorities emphasized that citizens should be cautious against sudden floods, waterlogging, and potential disruptions to transportation. According to the meteorological forecast for the next five days, sunny and warm weather will continue in the western regions in the middle of the week, while a rainy system will persist in the eastern provinces. From Thursday and Friday onwards, rainfall is expected to be more intense in the Eastern Black Sea region and border provinces, while sweltering temperatures will prevail in most of the country. Experts advise that in regions where high temperatures are expected, people should avoid spending long periods outdoors, especially during midday hours, drink plenty of fluids, and take precautions against sunstroke. In provinces where rainfall is anticipated, people are urged to be cautious of sudden weather changes.
